Research and Implementation of 3D Printing Techniques into current clinical practice: An Integrative Approach

Sarah Synek, Madonna Rehabilitation, OTD,OTR/L

Sarah is an occupational therapist at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospitals in Lincoln, Nebraska. She has a passion for working with individuals with stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, amputation, and multiple traumas and assisting them to return to their daily activities. Her research interests include upper extremity rehabilitation for individuals with stroke, upper extremity orthoses, and clinical application of 3D printing in current practice. She recently received the 2023 AOTF Mary J. Bridle First Research award for her research on upper extremity orthoses for individuals with stroke.

This course will look at the research on 3D Printing of Orthosis and how that research can be applied in the clinical field.
